# 5 Nashville 6-18-2022

The drive to Buckeye Lake was brutal, a normal 2-1/2 hour drive turned into a 5-1/2 hour drive due to a major wreck on the interstate. Which will become a theme throughout our trip including bad storms and road construction. Please be aware off all your surroundings at highway speeds things can get out of hand quickly. We Finally made it to one of our major destinations to meet up with my brother and sister in-law. The campground is beautiful with many amenities for the whole family. We are now set up and extending the awing. The new design isn’t bad (right) if there is no rain or a hint of a breeze even sunshine seems to bother it. Ours ballooned up like it was going to take off. So needless to say it is a useless design probably designed by an engineer who never went RVing. You know what they say about engineers.... just because they can draw an asshole doesn’t mean they can make it work. I will give them kudos though the slides are high enough and wide enough to sit under during a light rain or excessive sun. Wow good job. The campground offered a shuttle service to downtown Nashville. The main venue down town is Broadway street. Many food establishments and bars owned by many well know artists lined the street on both sides. If we were 30 years younger it would be a great place to hang out. Good food and good music in almost every business. To loud for the old guys and gals. We opted for a guided tour bus of the city. Well worth the $50.00 fee. We saw different recording studios and soaked in all the rich history of country music. We enjoyed it very much. Highly recommended. My brother-in-law and I also went and visited Maple Motors about 15 miles from our campground. If you like older and classic cars great place to check out if your in the area. Ya’ll come back now ya hear.
