Our return trip from Stone Mountain was pretty uneventful, the only thing I will tell you is that all dump stations are not created equal. As a wise plumber told me there are only 3 stead fast rules that apply. Payday is Friday, wash your hands before you eat, and you know what flows down hill. With that being said I also am a seasoned camping veteran that is not immune to the wicked wicked wave of the manure wand. Being the GOM that I am I have an innate obsession for old Mopar cars. I haven’t had them out for a while due to many many reasons they range from mechanical issues to just plain laziness. So I decided to take one of them, a 71 Cuda, treat her to a nice sudsy bubble bath, and a complete detailing. Mrs. GOM said she would like to take her out for an occasional drive. So I spent weeks on getting her ready and when it came time to detail the engine compartment I employed her to take over the task. Who is better to clean a disgusting area better than an expert in cleaning up after myself and the 4 animals we raised (Children). So the big day comes and I'm set for t-minus minutes to lift off. 3-2-1 contact and and nothing. Well this is a head scratcher but with my Monk like skills I figured out that the Mrs. had her hand in that engine compartment and low and behold I found the culprit... a disconnected wire. Ok all good 3-2-1 nothing. Ahh I forget Mopars love starting fluid. Ok 3-2-1 ignition. Yeah baby the purr of that stinky gas guzzling no AC beauty. My goal was to take it up to 70 MPH. I got close but around 67 she wanted to use both lanes and the berm. Floaty floaty no goodie goodie. I think the front end needs a little TLC. Winter project # 75. Although it was a blast to revisit my youth for a spell you cant beat a modern day vehicle with heated and cooled seats and ice cold AC on a butt hot day.
That's it for this short lived adventure.
