Happy anniversary-Happy anniversary….Happy anniversary- HHHHHappy anniversary. I think you can figure that out. X9 years of interesting wedded bliss. Finally up north in Michigan about 40 miles from Mackinaw City. At the beautiful Hearths Grove RV resort. We followed the directions to our site and disconnected the jeep and backed into our spot. Only minutes later to find out we were moved to another site because our original site was not de-winterized yet. But were happy to have an equally beautiful site. Wait for it..... wait for..... it hic up # 5-6 and lucky #7. The slides that are controlled by some electronic devil called a Spyder said it needed serviced and I would have to manually extend the slides by locating a god awful box located in one of the storage bins to depress a button to extend the slides. I'm not MOST NIMBLE ballerina in the world but I did my best. Slides extended all is well. I proceeded to do all the standard hook ups water sewage cable tv. Went into the coach and started channel search. No luck thought maybe the cable was bad so switched it with a new one. Still no luck. I contacted the resort and found out that the association had gotten rid of cable. No biggie I still had internet ahhhh no I didn't they were expecting parts in but they never came. Imagine that.

Took the jeep to Mackinaw City. Not much going on there. Went to the visitor center it was closed. Couldn't even get in the parking lot, it was blocked off with cones, not sure want was going on. Drove to the beach there and got attacked by what they called fish bugs. Nasty little things. So we decided to go over the Mackinaw bridge to St. Ignace, and we had a wonderful lunch at Mackinaw Grille. Had a wonderful white fish highly recommended. It was a nice drive roughly 35 minutes from base camp. There sure are a lot of friendly people up here I was getting constant waves. One thing that was peculiar was they were all driving jeeps also. Strange.

Went to a winery. FYI morning flights don’t go well on an empty stomach. Went back to base camp and had lunch went to another winery in the afternoon alas it was closed. FYI read website closer for times and dates open. Spent the rest of the afternoon having cocktails and relaxing then a wonderful dinner by Mrs. GOM.
Tomorrow is the last day of this adventure I believe more wineries and some shopping. Was visited by a black squirrel this morning never saw one before very interesting.
Last day 5/24/2022
Had a delicious breakfast consisting of bacon eggs and garlic toast, delish. Waiting for the Mrs. now to get ready don’t use a watch to time this fellows you know what I mean. On our way to Walloon winery very nice people and very good wine like I'm an expert I leave that up to Mrs. GOM. Believe me she is. We continued to Mackinaw Trail Winery at Walloon’s advice also very nice great atmosphere. After two wineries and no food it was time to head back to base camp for some food and more cocktails and R & R. A very nice afternoon 65 degrees and sunny. Tomorrow will be our departure day, cross your fingers for all slides to operate as they were purposed to do.
